We were lucky enough to get into the Hagley Hall Wedding Fayre a few weeks ago. We’d been trying to exhibit at Hagley for a while now but it’s very popular, and we finally managed to make it! It’s run by a team of lovely people who manage a truly stunning venue, easily one of the most impressive stately homes we’ve ever been able to visit, and an incredible venue to have your wedding at. Some venues we’ve exhibited at in the past are very keen to show off potential brides around their venue on the day, but don’t really engage with the exhibitors much. The team at Hagley were bringing the potential brides around the venue, recommending exhibitors present and pointing out where the exhibitors had displayed their items, such as our china.
Not only did we do our usual stand of vintage loveliness, but the very kind people on the events team also let us decorate one of their large round tables in the long gallery and set it for a full dinner service, so we got to display a whole dining table worth of china. As you can see from the photos below, it looked pretty good, even if we do say so ourselves!
We do easy to work out package prices, and the photos show a full table setup including dinner plates, which is £4 per person. If you just need afternoon tea, it’s £3 per person for a full setup. If you’d like a custom option, please contact us for details! We’re happy to hire throughout the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire.
Every year we get involved with one or two weddings that are the wedding of the summer for us, hire wise. This year one of them was Lisa and Adam’s wedding, who got married at Pim Hill Barns in Shrewsbury. The barn is beautiful and they’d gone all out on decorations, including bird cages, pom poms and home made lighting hanging from the roof, hundreds of glass jam jars, and a barn full of our china! They went for our top package, including cream and jam bowls, log slices, hessian runners, three tier cake stands and more.
We rocked up first thing on Saturday morning with a car full of china, and had a great couple of hours setting up the tables and finishing help decorate the barn with Lisa’s family. They had an awesome day and we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the lovely bride when we went back to collect our items on the evening. They were kind enough to send us some photos of our items in use through, and you can see them below! Thanks to Sara Beaumont Photography for the lovely photos.
It’s nice to have a break from planning fayres and hires for this year and take a look at some of our weddings from last year. One of our favourites was Millie and Ben, who were the first couple to book us for their wedding, at our first wedding fayre.
Millie and Ben had their reception at the lovely Worfield Village Hall, originally built before World War 2, and still retaining amazing character. They’d collected lots of china from their family, and hired bunting, teapots, coffeepots, cake plates, cake stands and log slices from us.
We had a great morning on the Friday helping setup – they had a small army of helpers transforming the village hall with our bunting, their fairy lights, table cloths, runners and about 10 car fulls of vintage – much of it home made.
